AB Mental Health disorders such as schizophrenia, depression, anddementia have a great impact on society worldwide. Recent developments havewitnessed numerous advances in telemedicine that allow remote monitoring ofelderly people with diseases of this pathology. One of key factors influencingrecent advances in health information systems is the use of data extractionrobust techniques used to extract knowledge from medical databases. The mainobjective of the paper is to develop a web application that allows extractingknowledge from a database of patients with psychiatric disorders and helpshealth personnel to know in depth the existing patient profiles and thus improvedecision making. The scenario chosen for this study consists in a government ofCastile and Leon database of 53641 income records of patients with MentalHealth disorders between 2005 and 2015. Applying descriptive statistics for theanalysis of data, the results show different parameters regarding Hospitalizationbehavior such as rate, average, hospitalization days of the patient’s number perhospital and outsourcing services.
