RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 Neuraminidase antibodies and H5N1: geographic-dependent influenza epidemiology could determine cross-protection against emerging strains A1 Bermejo Martín, Jesús Francisco A1 Kelvin, David J. A1 Guan, Yi A1 Chen, Honglin A1 Perez Breña, Pilar A1 Casas, Inmaculada A1 Arranz Sanz, Eduardo A1 Ortiz de Lejarazu Leonardo, Raúl K1 Inmunidad K1 Virus H5N1 K1 virus H1N1 K1 2412 Inmunología AB In this article, the authors provide evidence for the existence of cross-immunity between the neuraminidase of H5N1 viruses and that of endemic human H1N1 viruses. Age may be an important determining factor in the development of cross-immunity: younger people, having a shorter history of H1N1 exposure, may be disproportionately susceptible to H5N1 infection.
