AB In the USA, lawsuits have recently been filed against technological giants in which the demerger or break-up of the company is requested. On the other hand, both in that country and in Europe there is talk of the need for the Authorities to have stronger remedies to fight against the abuses of the big giants; between them, the possibility of breaking them up. In this paper, the risks of this measure are exposed and the different ways of configuring it, analyzing in each one if the risks materialize or not; or on the contrary, there is an adequate weighting of the interests at stake.
