This study compares two different American political speeches, Donald Trump’s Inauguration speech and Hillary Clinton’s Concession speech regarding person deixis, namely personal and possessive pronouns, to denote if the different political speech genres, imply a varietal deictic purpose. The analysis shows differences in person deictic usages and frequency are related to the political frame’s target.
