A voltage source is typically used to bias the panels during the EL measurements. In this article, however, the substitution of this source for a bidirectional inverter is analyzed, obtaining results that show clear advantages of working with these kinds of devices. The benefits that have been obtained go through the simplification of the measurement process, the increase in security and the improvement in the remote monitoring of inspections.
