It is understood that audiovisual translation is the transfer from onelanguage to another of the text that comes with a moving image. It is worth mentioning thatamong the main techniques used in this field of audiovisual translation are subtitling anddubbing. As there are many opinions about its effectiveness in foreign language learning, wewill look for hypotheses and theories that confirm the positive impact it has on L2 learners, among them, Krashen's hypotheses and neuroeducation will be emphasized. Therefore, thiswork aims to demonstrate how the subtitling technique can be implemented in an efficient wayfor L2 learning, by means of some activities as an example.
