However, many teachers face common obstacles, such as lack of training in emotional education and teaching workload, which prevent them from addressing this topic effectively. To solve this problem, it is important to provide tools and resources to help teachers integrate emotional education into their daily practice. In this sense, the main objective of the present research was to design, implement and evaluate an emotional education intervention program aimed at non-university teachers. The program was based on Mayer and Salovey's theoretical model of skills and focused on developing skills of perception, understanding and emotional regulation. The implementation of the program was carried out through the segmentation of groups, which was structured by means of the previous diagnosis made to 750 non-university teachers. The program was adapted considering the results of the diagnostic study. Control (N=348) and experimental (N=402) groups were organized to apply the program. The implementation process was also evaluated through satisfaction questionnaires. At the end, the impact and effectiveness of the program were evaluated using non-parametric statistical methods. The results demonstrated the effectiveness of the program in the development of emotional skills and life satisfaction, work wellbeing, optimism, positive affect and the teachers' communicative-relational, socioemotional and instructional competencies. Emotional education is a fundamental component for the integral development of students and it is important to provide tools and resources so that teachers can effectively integrate it into their daily practice.
