Eleven studies were included in the systematic review and nine in the meta-analysis. IMT by PwB significantly increased maximal inspiratory pressure (MIP) and substantial improvements in forced vital capacity (FVC) in the results of the meta-analysis, and sports performance was significantly increased. In conclusion, the IMT with PwB would improve respiratory, MIP, FVC, and sports performance.
