AB This final dissertation analyses the historical references in three songs of Six: TheMusical (2017), a production that tells the story of the Six wives of Henry VIII from theirperspective, with the aid of Postmodernism techniques such as rewriting and intertextuality.Each song functions as a journey to discover the background of the relationships between theKing of England and his wives from a feminist point of view. The aim is to disclose how thesetechniques and references have been used in the songs and how they are used to change thetraditional representation of these six women.
