AB The present work reflects upon English learning as a foreign language andsuggests a number of modifications which can be contemplated to reinforce activeparticipation during lessons. In order to promote oral speech, a practical vision ofgrammar will be explored to reach a constructive use of the language. On the basis ofmultiple scholars, it will be argued that current teaching methodologies are not efficientapropos of communication and interaction. What this study defends is the creation of aflexible linguistic tool which aims for common understanding and supports spontaneousoral discourse. In parallel, teachers are encouraged to yield an accurate grammatical basein concordance with its speaking implications and purposes. To this end, intelligibilitywill be regarded as the route for the true consummation and engagement with the foreigntongue since it agrees with this embracing view of the language in terms of oralproduction.
