AB Authors propose a simple, but powerful, modification of the Spiral Optimisation Algorithm, which includesstochastic disturbances in its searching trajectories. As a primarystudy, several tests were carried out implementing proposed andoriginal algorithm to solve different benchmarking problems.Results were compared with some reported in literature. It wasnoticed the proposed modification enhances the spiral–inspiredmethod in terms of convergence, specifically at high–dimensionaloptimisation problems
