AB La Nueva Edición Victoria (NEV) conjuga edición crítica y funcionalidad práctica. Se presentan con una cuidada estética y en open access alojada en el Centro de Estudios Tomás Luis de Victoria (CEV). Este volumen es resultado de la colaboración entre Soterraña Aguirre -también coordinadora de la NEV- y María Elena Cuenca, ganadora de la beca Abvlensis, auspiciada por el festival que le da nombre. Contiene 18 obras motetísticas procedentes de la segunda edición del abulense: Thomae Ludovici de Victoria. Abvlensis. Psalmos, Magnificat, ad Virginem Dei Matrem Salutationes, alia que complectitur. Liber Primus (Venecia, 1576), del que toma su título. Creaciones a 5, 6 y 8 voces. Su aparato crítico, en bilíngüe -español e inglés-, informa que se toma como fuente matriz la citada, sirviendo los restantes impresos de época como testimonios complementarios; una perspectiva interesante. Se ofrece, así mismo, un estudio de los textos de los motetes que aporta significativas pruebas en relación a la cronología de creación de algunos de ellos. Cada motete está precedido también de su propio comentario crítico dedicado a consignar las variantes musicales y textuales; la edición de su texto y su traducción a tres idiomas, así como otra serie de informaciones referentes a su localización litúrgica, tono, etc.Abstract:The New Victoria Edition (NEV) combines critical editing and practical functionality. They are presented with a careful aesthetic and in open access hosted by the Centro de Estudios Tomás Luis de Victoria (CEV).This volume is the result of a collaboration between Soterraña Aguirre -also coordinator of the NEV- and María Elena Cuenca, winner of the Abvlensis grant, sponsored by the festival that gives it its name. It contains 18 motetistic works from the second edition of the Abvlensis: Thomae Ludovici de Victoria. Abvlensis. Psalmos, Magnificat, ad Virginem Dei Matrem Salutationes, alia que complectitur. Liber Primus (Venice, 1576), from which it takes its title. Creations for 5, 6 and 8 voices. Its critical apparatus, in bilingual -Spanish and English-, informs that it takes the aforementioned edition as the main source, with the remaining printed works of the period serving as complementary testimonies; an interesting perspective. A study of the texts of the motets is also offered, which provides significant evidence regarding the chronology of the creation of some of them. Each motet is also preceded by its own critical commentary dedicated to the musical and textual variants, the edition of its text and its translation into three languages, as well as other information regarding its liturgical location, tone, etc
