After a prior investigation, it could be established that, according to the previous criterion, there is currently an objective set of six Circus-Theaters that occurred between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century and that after successive reforms remain operational today in Spain.Although the formal aspects of a quasi-circular plan, conical roof and design with metallic materials typical of the industrial revolution are preserved among them, only two of them (Albacete and Madrid) actually have this scenic functional exchange by default as a theater and as circus and which is carried out in a planned and manual manner. The Theater-Circus functional in Spain at the time of development of this thesis or that have the name Circus-Theater are:Circus-Theater Apolo El Algar, en Cartagena, Murcia. Circus-Theater Albacete.Circus-Theater Murcia.Circus-Theater Atanasio Dié Marin de Orihuela, Alicante. Circus-Theater Price, Madrid.Circus-Theater Marte de La Palma, Islas Canarias Circus-Theater Puente Genil, Córdoba The objectives of this work are based on three fundamental pillars from which some secondary objectives are derived:The first objective is the search and investigation of the origins of the spaces called Circus-Theater, from an international perspective, but focusing the focus on the national level, which allows establishing the geographical distribution of the Circus-Theater in Spain from their origins. origins to the present day. From this main objective, a detailed exposition of each of the Circus-Theater operating in Spain is proposed, where in addition to its location, geometry, characteristics and current situation, the most important historical and vital events are described. The second objective is to apply a measurement methodology based on a standard that allows a complete acoustic characterization of the Circus-Theater that are operational at the time of development of this thesis. The third objective is the establishment of a comparative analysis between the Circus-Theaters evaluated that allows observing differences or similarities in behavior through a selection of room acoustic rating parameters and related to the subjective aspects of the listener both in the main room and on the stage. The thesis is structured in 8 chapters and 3 annexes.
