AB The Merovingian queens, particularly the most powerful ones, could bring togethersituations of collaboration and confrontation with bishops of their respective kingdoms.In this contribution we will analyse the latter, addressing the different forms ofconfrontation that arose and their resolution, but also examining the determinism ofsuch episodes in strengthening, or possibly weakening, the power of the Merovingianfemale rulers.
