The relevance of this thesis lies inoffering different social perspectives to understand the realities affecting African-Americansociety. The methodology used to perform the textual analysis of the novels will be donewith the psychological theory of the Big Five, emphasizing the dimensions ofHumanization, Openness, and Neuroticism. We can conclude that the hypothesis isfulfilled, observing how suffering progressively fades away in the main characters, beingreplaced by humanization.
