In the present study the aim is to enunciate thediscursive, material and historical conditions that saw America rise to be the preeminent politicalplayer on the world stage as well as the strategies that they employed to achieve this political status.Having assessed these conditions and strategies, the ultimate objective will be to provide a rationalefor the trajectory that the United States has followed until the present day and where they and theworld under their hegemony may be headed.
