When it comes to positioning tourist productsonline, providing these videos in English is a basic requirement. Thus, professional specializedtranslators are essential in this field. This work presents a teaching experience of the translationof promotional videos in the field of tourism with the intention of familiarizing students with themain processes and tools used in the field of audiovisual translation (AVT). We have also aimedat providing learners with some expertise in this field, given that it is one of the most importantsectors within the field of translation (Díaz Cintas, 2013) and thus with very promisingprofessional opportunities, despite the little attention it has been paid from other branches ofspecialized translation.
