This is why the development of critical thinking in school is of utmost importance when the aim is to form critical and participatory citizens. This study promotes the academic training and development of critical thinking skills in a group of Primary Basic Education students from a Public Educational Center in Bogotá (Colombia) through the execution of an interdisciplinary pedagogical proposal that is based on the cartoon series contents that are most viewed by them. For this purpose, this study carried out a qualitative methodological development of a descriptive nature, focusing on the case study method. Some other techniques used to collect data were analysis, field diary recording, semi-structured interviews and focal groups. The study concludes that it is possible to develop a critical attitude in students. Also, the academic training leads them to solve real or hypothetical problems inside and outside the school environment with great competence.
