These foams stand out for their open internal structure, which gives them unique properties such as air and fluid permeability, flexibility and mechanical strength, making them ideal for applications in acoustic insulation, filtration and packaging.The main focus of this thesis is to analyze the relationship between the developed formulations, the obtained cellular structure and the physical and mechanical properties of the resulting foams. To do so, the following aspects are addressed:1. Material formulation: Design of mixtures from polyolefins and additives, including cross-linking agents, expanders and stabilizers, to ensure controlled and efficient foaming.2. Structure analysis: Evaluation of the influence of the formulations on the formation of the open-cell structure, a fundamental characteristic of the material.3. Mechanical and acoustic properties: Relationship between the structure obtained and physical properties, such as density, elasticity, permeability and mechanical strength.The ultimate goal is to develop foams with characteristics adapted to the specific needs of different industrial applications, optimizing both the chemical formulation and the parameters of the continuous foaming process. This comprehensive approach allows progress in the manufacture of high-performance and highly versatile materials.
