This set of disorders is characterized by alterations in the voiding cycle, whose etiology can be neurological, organic or functional. Taking a detailed medical history is essential. An adequate anamnesis, with a thorough physical examination and complementary non-invasive tests, are sufficient in the diagnosis of most children. In the most complex cases, we have different methods for urological evaluation: invasive (such as cystomanometry) and non-invasive (uroflowmetry). Our study evaluates uroflowmetry, which integrates pressure-flow analysis, pelvic floor electromyogram (EMG), and postvoid ultrasound. The joint interpretation of the results allows an etiological approach to the diagnosis, while ruling out the presence of urological pathology in cases of indeterminate symptoms.
