It examines the ideological, programmatic, and tactical foundations of this insurrection. It also addresses the Communist International's opposition to the APRA insurrectional project and its attempt to crush this political movement by acting outside its framework. To this end, the Communist International relied on the militant support of Cuban Julio Antonio Mella and Peruvian intellectual José Carlos Mariátegui, who, from Peru, managed to divide the APRA by accusing its leader, Haya de la Torre, of revisionism and ideological deviation from Marxism and socialism.
