RT info:eu-repo/semantics/bookPart T1 Intercultural dialogue and values in education A1 Castro Prieto, Paloma A1 Lundgren, Ulla A1 Woodin, Jane AB The chapter examines intercultural dialogue as a policy concept developed by the Council of Europe and explores its relevance for the internationalization of higher education. It argues for a shift from outcome-driven models of internationalization towards a process-oriented approach grounded in educational values. Drawing on a humanistic understanding of Bildung and influenced by the work of Mike Byram, the chapter positions intercultural dialogue as a framework for embedding values, democratic competences, and educational purpose at the core of higher education policy and practice, while acknowledging the limits of its predominantly European perspective.
