In order to clarify theseconcepts, I will rely mainly on Arne Næss, mainly focusing on the process of identification.Once explained this relationship between the self and the environment (place), I willaddress, in the last part, a critique of genetic and epigenetic determinism with regard tothe constitution of the self.
