It examines the approach’s contribution to score comprehension, musical learning, motivation, and classroom climate. The research employs a primarily qualitative instrumental case study design, organized with a sequential quasi-experimental approach: the same teaching method was applied to two consecutive cohorts of fourth-grade students (GE1, n = 4, 2022-2023 academic year; GE2, n=2, 2023-2024 academic year). The intervention is integrated into the group class as a natural space for combining instrumental practice and shared reflection.Multiple data sources were used: participant observation with field notes, classroom performances derived from routines assessed with rubrics, questionnaires, interviews with teachers and students, and a review of regulations and institutional documents. The analysis is based on triangulation and inductive-deductive coding in ATLAS.ti, resulting in a stable system of codes, categories, and macro-categories aligned with the research objectives. The results indicate that the systematic incorporation of Visible Thinking routines is pedagogically viable and consistent with the curriculum framework, fostering a deeper and more integrated understanding of the works (structure, context, emotion, and meaning), and leading to the emergence of more explicit and shareable interpretive criteria. Improvements in engagement and participation are also observed, although autonomy remains the most fragile aspect and dependent on teacher support, especially in routines that require research and justification with evidence.
