RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 La unidad terminológica: de la uniformidad a la variación A1 Montero Martínez, Silvia A2 Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid K1 Filología AB From the point of view of applied linguistics, terminology is a discipline subject to discourse variation. It is conceived of as a functional language subsystem characterized by designating specialized concepts. The so called "variety principle" confronts the traditional premises set by Wüster. The object was terminological standardization based on the idea of uniform terminological units regarding time, space and social environment. This clear-cut situation is threaten by the complexity of the linguistic reality. The proposal described here takes root on the terminological unit diversity repecting the aforementioned aspects. There has been a move from an unitary world view towards a vision characterized by multidisciplinarity. Consequently, the units used to express specialized knowledge will show a diversity which must be studied through linguistic models SN 1139-7489 YR 2000 FD 2000 LK http://uvadoc.uva.es/handle/10324/9451 UL http://uvadoc.uva.es/handle/10324/9451 LA spa NO Hermeneus: Revista de la Facultad de Traducción e Interpretación de Soria, 2000, N.2, pags.181-190 DS UVaDOC RD 19-abr-2024
