En este artículo intentamos demostrar la notable influencia ejercida por el De causis Linguete Latinae de J. C. Escalígero en la Minerva de Francisco Sánchez de las Brozas. Compararnos ambas obras sobre Gramática buscando los puntos de conexión que de manera más clara y directa revelan la citada influencia. Son dos los aspectos en los que la autoridad, de Escaligero se muestra con mayor evidencia: por un lado, la concepción general sobre la Gramática y su función; por otro, la propia teoría gramatical que sustenta ambos tratados: a este respecto, está claro que Sánchez adoptó dos ideas fundamentales de Escalígero: la "simplificación" y la "racionalización" de la Gramática.
This article aims to demonstrate that the work of I. C. Scaliger, De causis linguae Latinae, had a noteworthy influence on Minerva, the work of F. Sanctius. For that, this paper examines and compares the treatises on Latin grammar of these two grammarians, with the purpose of discovering the concrete grammatical questions which reveal a clear and direct influence. There are two principal ways in which the authority of l. C. Scaliger is evidenced: on the one hand, in relation to the general conception of grammatical activity; on the other hand, with regard to grammatical theory itself. And in this last sense, it is patent that F. Sanctius took two basic ideas from I. C. Scaliger: the "simplification" and the "rationalization" of grammar.
