El tema de este artículo está relacionado con los obsequios que fueron entregados por las colonias extranjeras, que residieron en el Perú, a raíz de la conmemoración del Centenario de la Independencia, los cuales serán estudiados desde un enfoque interdisciplinario.Ello nos permitirá encontrar el significado de estos espacios como cada uno de los lugares de memoria en torno a la sociedad de aquella época. Siendo nuestro objetivo explicar de qué manera los monumentos del Centenario se convirtieron en elementos que contribuyeron a la construcción de la nación durante el contexto de las celebraciones.
The topic of this article is about the presents that were given, immediately after the commemoration of Independence's Centenary, by the foreign colonies, which settled in Peru. This will be examined in detail from an interdisciplinary approach. It will allow us to find the meaning of these spaces as each of the realms of memory concerning the nature of society in that epoch. Being our aim to explain in which way those Centenary monu- ments turned into elements that contributed to the construction of the idea of nation during the context of the celebrations.
