El tiempo del bicentenario, diálogos y tensiones en las Américas: identidades, ciudadanía y gobernanza. El caso de Chile

Abstract

Este texto busca examinar los desafíos y oportunidades que enfrenta América Latina en los albores del siglo XXI, considerando los bicentenarios de las Independencias como herramienta de análisis y reflexión que permite identificar las grandes líneas de pensamiento y construcción político-social que marcan el rumbo de la región en el tiempo presente. La intención es interrogarse sobre los retos en materias de educación y sociedad civil, examinando la diversidad y complejidad del continente junto a sus agendas de futuro, deteniéndonos particularmente en el caso de Chile, a partir de las grandes temáticas que han atravesado estos doscientos años de historia independiente y que están relacionadas con la ciudadanía, la gobernanza y las identidades.

This paper examine the challenges and opportunities facing Latin America in the twenty-first century, considering the bicentennial of the Independence as a tool for analysis and reflection that identifies the main lines of thought and social and political construction that mark the direction of region at the present time. The intention is to ask about the challenges in the areas of education and civil society, examining the diversity and complexity of the continent with their agendas for the future, stopping particularly in the case of Chile, from the major themes that have gone through these two hundred years independent history and are related to citizenship, governance and identity.
