El presente trabajo pretende ser una introducción a una de las vertientes no sólo más arraigadas dentro de nuestra tradicción literaria, la del realismo grotesco, sino más y mejor exploradas en la narrativa de los últimos años, luego de la publicación de La fuente de la edad, de Luis Mateo Díez, y con un buen abanico de ejemplos, que en esta ocasión se restringen a la labor narrativa de Manuel Talens, Manuel Longares y Fernando Royuela.
The present article explores not only one of the most deeply-rooted trend in our literary tradition -grotesque realism- but also one of the most fertile in the last Spanish narrative, specially after the publication of La fuente de la edad, by Luis Mateo Díez, and with an enormous range of examples, restricted for the time being to Manuel Talens, Manuel Longares and Fernando Royuela.
