Notas para una recreación de la teoría sobre la novela corta española del siglo XX: A propósito de las escritoras en La Novela del Sábado (1953-1955).

Abstract

Para contribuir a la recreación y actualización de la crítica y la historia sobre tan escurridizo género como es la novela corta, especialmente la cultivada en España en el siglo XX, se propone completar algunos de los vacíos teóricos como el relativo a la datación de su fase de gran producción, ampliando el arco temporal hasta mediados del siglo XX. Ello obliga a tener en consideración otras cuestiones como la adaptación del género al medio literario de la mitad del siglo, la recepción de anteriores autores de novelas cortas por parte del canon vigente en los años del franquismo, o la participación de las escritoras españolas en ese mismo contexto. La evolución se podrá vislumbrar gracias al propio aumento porcentual de esa participación femenina, rastreándolo especialmente a través de una colección literaria por lo ejemplar de ella: La Novela del Sábado (1953-1955)

In order to contribute to the recreation. and update of the critic and the history about such an elusive genre as it is the novela corta, specially the one developed in Spain in the 20th century, it is the aim to complete some of the theoretical gaps. For instance, the related one to the dating of its large production stage, by extending the temporary arch until the middle of the 20th century. In relation to this fact, it is important to take into account other issues such as the genre.s adaptation to the literary environment from half of the century, the reception of the previous novelas cortas. authors concerning the current canon in Franco.s regime or the participation of Spanish writers in the same context. The evolution could be made out thanks to the own percent increase of women. participation, specially, by means of tracking through an outstanding literary collection: La Novela del Sábado (1953-1955).
