Abstract

La Gran Guerra a través de la mirada cinematográfica de posguerra Dada su propia magnitud histórica y las consecuencias que supuso, la Primera Guerra Mundial (1914-1918) es un hito fundamental en el transcurso del siglo XX. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar cómo se interpreta la Gran Guerra en la pantalla cinematográfica y cómo los directores trasladan el mensaje a la opinión pública. A través de las producciones de posguerra podremos comprender el tratamiento cinematográfico del conflicto centrándonos en aspectos concretos, tal como las causas de la guerra, el paso de la euforia de la catástrofe a la catástrofe de la euforia, las trincheras, el combatiente y el enemigo y la función de la mujer.

The Great War: an historical approach through the study of cinematographic productions in the postwar era Due to its own historical magnitude and the consequences that resulted, the First World War (1914-1918) is a turning point in the twentieth century. This paper aims to analyze how the Great War was interpreted on the cinema screen and how the film directors exposed the message to the public opinion. Through the postwar productions we will be able to understand the cinematographic treatment of the conflict, focusing on specific aspects such as the causes of the war, the evolution from the euphoria of the catastrophe to the catastrophe of the euphoria, the trenches, the combatant and the enemy and the role of women.
