La práctica de los enterramientos infantiles en ambientes domésticos de la Meseta Norte peninsular a lo largo de la Protohistoria apenas si ha merecido la atención de los investigadores, al no ser muy numerosos los casos documentados hasta hace algunos años. El presente trabajo pretende reunir los testimonios conocidos hasta hoy, analizar su contexto y cronología y tratar de ver, en la medida de lo posible, qué explicación puede dárseles entre las varias que han sido barajadas por los investigadores del ritual en otros contextos de la península, así como su relación con los depósitos infantiles de ovicaprinos que a veces les acompañan.
The practice of infant burials in domestic environments of the Northern Plateau over the Protohistory has barely attracted the attention of researchers, as there have not been many documented cases until a few years ago. This paper aims to bring together the testimonies known until the present time, to analyse their context and chronology and to try to find out, as far as possible, the possible explanation that can be given among those that have been proposed by researchers who have studied similar rituals in other contexts of the Peninsula. The relationship of the burials with the infant deposits of ovicaprids that sometimes go along with them will also be analysed.
