Los estudios de literatura española de finales del siglo XIX y primer tercio del XX están evolucionando desde la investigación de autores canónicos al estudio de creadores, temas y géneros raros y olvidados durante lo que se ha dado en llamar la otra Edad de Plata (Ena 2013). Este trabajo de investigación presenta una visión de conjunto de la labor realizada en el ámbito de la traducción literaria por las mujeres escritoras de la época. Partiendo de la escasez de estudios críticos realizados hasta el momento sobre género y traducción, se localizan y detallan en primer lugar las traductoras, después los autores traducidos por ellas y a continuación se ofrece una lectura hermenéutica teniendo en cuenta el concepto feminista de affidamento a través del que se pueden determinar la identidad individual y colectiva de la mujer moderna.
Studies of Spanish literature dating from the late 19th to the first third of the 20th century are moving from research on canonical writers to the study of ‘rare and forgotten’ authors, themes and genres during what the literary historians have called the other Silver Age (Ena 2013). This research paper presents an overview of the work undertaken in the field of literary translation by the women writers of this period. Given the dearth of critical studies published on gender and translation to date, in this article we first identify and make a list of women translators; secondly, we indicate the authors they translated; and finally, we offer a hermeneutic reading taking into account the feminist concept of affidamento, thanks to which the individual and collective identity of modern woman can be established.
