Este estudio sobre la evolución de la demanda del vestido durante el Antiguo Régimen en Castilla se inscribe dentro de las líneas de investigación del equipo "Consumo y comercialización de textiles en Castilla y Cantabria, 1750-1914", centradas en descubrir los cambios operados en el consumo de productos textiles. En concreto, analizamos en profundidad la presencia de prendas y de tejidos en el ajuar dotal; dotes matrimoniales que constituyen la fuente documental de este trabajo.
As a part of the research project "Consumption and commercialization of textiles in Castile and Cantabria, 1750-1914", whose main objective is to analyse the changes observed in the evolution of the demand for clothes during the Ancien Régime in Castile, examines the details of those garments and fabrics mentioned in the specifications of dowry trousseans, dowries thus obviously becoming the source material of this study.
