En dos ocasiones, y por imperativo legal, las universidades españolas experimentaron en el siglo pasado un organismo nuevo -el Patronato Universitario- destinado a colaborar con la institución universitaria. El Patronato aparece y desaparece en dos momentos concretos: durante la Dictadura de Primo de Rivera y en el Tardofranquismo. Estas páginas analizan cuál fue en la Universidad de Valladolid la peripecia de cada uno de ellos, el alcance de ambos proyectos, su corta historia y fracaso.
Last century, the Spanish Universities experimented twice a new organization as in duty bound, called 'Patronato Universitario', the aim of which was to cooperate with the Academic Institution. It comes and goes in two precise periods: during the Dictatorship or Primo de Rivera and in the latest years of the Franco regime. The present paper analyzes the incidents of each of them at the University of Valladolid, the extent of both projects as well as their short history and failure.
