Delincuencia, supervivencia y protesta del campesino castellano: la Tierra de CAmpos palentina entre 1917-1923

Abstract

Éste es un estudio sobre las distintas manifestaciones de protesta y resistencia individuales -las denominadas por James C. Scott "formas cotidianas de resistencia campesina"- que llevó a cabo el campesino de la comarca castellana de la Tierra de Campos palentina durante los últimos años de la Restauración (1917-1923). Con esta investigación, pretendemos mostrar cómo la conflictividad social de este período se extendió a todo el cuerpo social, y no sólo se manifestó a través de acciones colectivas, sino que también se produjo, y de forma importante, en el desarrollo de la vida cotidiana.

This is a study about the several signs of the individual protest and resistance -it is called "every day forms of peasant resistance" by James C. Scott- that they were practised by the countryman from Castilian region of Tierra de Campos of Palencia during the last years of the restoration of the Spanish monarchy (1917-1923). With this investigation, we want to show that the social disputes in that period spread throughout the society, and not only was it apparent through the collective actions but it also broke out in the development of the daily life.
