This paper analyzes the intervention of Philip III confessor father Luis Aliaga in the expulsion of the moriscos. For it some crucial aspects are studied in the history of this episode, which great debates provoked in the court. Among the most important, the fate of children, the distinction between ancient and modem moors, Murcia case or the possibility of a second exile to the new Christians of the Kingdom of Valencia, all with an active religious participation.
El presente trabajo analiza la intervención del confesor de Felipe III fray Luis Aliaga en la expulsión de los moriscos, a partir del estudio de algunos aspectos cruciales para la historia de este episodio en torno a los cuales se suscitaron toda suerte de debates en la corte. Entre los más sonados, el destino de los niños, la distinción entre moriscos antiguos y modernos, el caso murciano o la posibilidad de un segundo destierro para los cristianos nuevos del Reino de Valencia, todos ellos con una activa participación del religioso.
