El Colegio de Doncellas Nobles de Valladolid fue una institución benéfico-social destinada a albergar a muchachas de origen hidalgo hasta el momento de contraer matrimonio o de por vida, si así lo preferían. Fue fundado por el Licenciado Luis Daza en 1587 y estuvo situado en la calle de Relatores, esquina a la de la Huerta Perdida, hoy Democracia. En esta institución de carácter híbrido, las colegiales harán voto de castidad y de obediencia al Patrono. Vestían hábito religioso pero no eran monjas. A causa de la penuria económica desapareció a finales del siglo XVII.
The College for Noble Maids at Valladolid was a social institution founded to shelter young girls of noble origin who used to stay in the College till the day of their marriage, or for life if so me one so desired. The College was founded by the Licenciado Luis Daza in the year 1587. I t was located in the Relatores Street cornering Huerta Perdida, which today is called Democracia. In this institution of hybrid character, the collegians used to make a vow of chastity and obedience to the Patron. They were dressed in a religious habit, though they were not nuns. Due to lack of funds the institution closed down at the end of the XVII century.
