Georgia ha sido desde la más remota antigüedad tierra de paso, aunque jamás perdió por completo su libertad. Así se ha afirmado hasta el presente la identidad del pueblo georgiano. Si damos un salto en el tiempo nos encontramos a Georgia incorporada al imperio soviético, pero las ansias de libertad del pueblo georgiano no desaparecieron. From time immemorial, Georgia has been a land of passage although it has never lost its independence completely.
