Los frailes y monjes en la ciudad de Segovia a finales del antiguo régimen (1768-1834)

Abstract

Los trece conventos que el clero regular masculino tiene en la ciudad de Segovia al final del Antiguo Régimen ven disminuir sus efectivos humanos a lo largo del período y observan impotentes el estancamiento y posterior naufragio de sus rentas. Fenómenos que se analizan en el artículo, así como sus formas de gobierno y actividad.

The thirteen convents that the regular male clergy had in the city of Segovia in the last years of the Ancient Regime saw the number of their members seriously diminished throughout this period. They had to face absolutely powerless the stagnation and final wreckage of their rents. These events, together with the convent's polity and activities, are analysed in this article.
