En esta segunda parte de mi artículo, trato de los actores sociales durante la crisis de la Restauración en España (1914-1931): la jerarquía eclesiástica; la aristocracia; el mundo intelectual, científico y educativo; las organizaciones profesionales (sindicatos y patronales), y la influencia de todos ellos sobre la vida pública. Dos son las principales conclusiones: la creciente articulación en organizaciones de los distintos grupos e intereses sociales y la tentación por su parte de negociar directamente con el Estado y, en definitiva, de sustituir el sistema de representación liberal parlamentario por fórmulas de representación corporativa.
In the second part of my article I consider the role of the social actors during the crisis of the Restoration in Spain (1914-1931): the Church hierarchy, the aristocracy, the intellectual, educational and scientific world; professional organizations such as the unions and employers' associations, and the influence of them on public life. I have two main findings: first, the growing articolation of the different groups and social interests in organizations and second, the temptation, on their part, to negotiate directly with the state, thus substituting the liberal, parliamentary system of representation for formulas of corporative representation.
