Colaboración y apoyo de la guerrilla y de la armada de Gran Bretaña durante la Guerra de la Independencia

Abstract

Acercamiento al importantísimo papel que ejerció la guerrilla en su colaboración con la Armada de Gran Bretaña y con el ejército regular español durante la Guerra de la Independencia a través de tres testimonios de primera magnitud: el abastecimiento a la flota mediante las pequeñas naves civiles de cabotaje españolas; el sitio y toma de la ciudad de Santander por parte de los guerrilleros apoyados por los navíos británicos desde alta mar en junio de 1809 y el desembarco de El Marquesillo, en operación combinada con guerrilleros y tropas regulares espafiolas en julio de 1810. Como fondo, la movilización total de la población civil por ambos bandos combatientes y el cambio de mentalidad que anuncia la época contemporánea visto a través del nuevo papel social de las mujeres guerrilleras.

Approach to the most important role that the guerrilla played in her collaboration with the Britain Army and with the Spanish Regular Army during the War of Independence through three evidences of first magnitude : supplying the fleet through the small Spanish Civil ships, the siege and taking of the city of Santander on the part of the guerrilla supported by the British Navy from high seas in June 1809 and the landing of El Marquesillo in a joint operation with irregulars and Spanish regular troops in July 1810. As the background of all this, the whole mobilization of the civil population by both combatant factions and the change of mind which announces the contemporary period as seen through the new social role of the guerrilla women.
