En la ciudad de León se celebraban anualmente tres ferias, San Juan, San Marcelo y San Andrés, en las dos últimas se comerciaba, entre otros productos, con gran cantidad de ganado vacuno. En el presente artículo pretendemos conocer la evolución en el precio de estas reses, así como su posible conexión con el excedente agrario campesino. Para ello nos hemos centrado principalmente en los bueyes y las vacas.
Three fairs were held in the city of León every year S. Juan, S. Marcelo and S. Andrés. People bought and sold lots of cattle at the last two ones. In this article we try to establish the evolution of the prices of these heads of cattle as well as their possible connection with the country's surplus products. We have focused on oxen and cows mainly in order to do that.
