Our studies on the educative potential of the body sphere within the school context and formal education have brought about the model 'Pedagogical Treatment of the Body sphere' (TPC: Tratamiento Pedagógico del ámbito Corporal). In this framework, we reflect about what is taught within PE and how we direct our attention to pupils' learning and development. Furthermore, we emphasize the role of the analysis of our practices as the main resource for innovation (i.e., PE aims, curricula, etc.) and professional development.
Estudiar y desarrollar el potencial educativo del ámbito corporal en la escuela nos ha llevado a construir un modelo, el Tratamiento pedagógico del ámbito corporal. Este artículo trata de explicar su oportunidad en los planteamientos educativos generales, identifica lo que se enseña en educación física escolar y cómo se procura que repercuta en el desarrollo y aprendizaje del alumnado, y muestra el análisis de la práctica como la principal fuente de innovación educativa, desarrollo profesional y reflexión curricular.
