    Abstract
In this review we eill analyze different methods of visual training in patiens with central scotoma. Different anomalies can cause central scotoma in the visual field, affecting the macular zone. Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of central vision loss because of the increase in life expectancy. There is evidence showing that with visual rahabilitation can improve visual skills such as visual acuity and learning speed. The literature selected for this purpose is related to scanning laser ophtalmoscope (SLO), microperimetry (MP-1), prisms and eye movement training. The research studies provide information regarding training duration to obtain good results in the rahabilitation , and a comparison of the visual skills before and after the rahabilitation. The aim of this review is to show the different programs designed for eccentric viewing rehabilitation and to stablish a conclusion about them.
