Este trabajo estudiará el papel jugado por Esparta durante las Guerras Médicas. Haciendo una breve introducción a algunos de los rasgos más característicos de la polis lacedemonia, así como contextualizar el periodo del conflicto repasando algunos personajes y acontecimientos inmediatamente anteriores. Finalmente se analizará el transcurso de la guerra, sus batallas más trascendentales y su resolución, intentando extraer las conclusiones del resultado final, y las consecuencias que Esparta sufrirá al final de la contienda.
This projet will study the role played by Sparta during the Greco-Persian Wars. Making a little introduction to some of the most significant characteristics of the lacedaemonian polis, as well as contextualicing this conflict period by revieweing some characters and events which happened just before the war. Finally, it will be analyzed the course of the war, the most important battles and the final resolution, trying to get to the conclussions of the final result, and the consecuences for Sparta.
