Madres de día, una educación alternativa

Abstract

Las madres de día han sido, desde su importación a España desde Alemania, Reino Unido o Francia, una solución perfecta para familias que necesitaban conciliar su vida laboral y familiar, pero se resistían a enviar a sus hijos menores de seis años a aulas abarrotadas donde no se respetan, en ocasiones, sus desarrollos evolutivos. El objetivo de este trabajo de fin de grado es conocer la iniciativa “madres de día”, cada vez más común en todo el territorio nacional, respondiendo a la pregunta ¿qué son las madres de día y por qué se presentan como una alternativa a la educación infantil institucionalizada? Así como conocer dos experiencias que se llevan a cabo en Valladolid. El estudio de casos (dos concretamente) ha sido la metodología escogida para llevar a cabo la investigación, y los resultados muestran que, a pesar de ser una opción más respetuosa con el niño y sus necesidades, la falta de legislación y reconocimiento impiden que sea un tipo de educación generalizada en nuestro país.

Childminders have been, since their importation into Spain from Germany, the United Kingdom or France, a perfect solution for families who needed to reconcile their work and family life, but were reluctant to send their children under the age of six to crowded classrooms where theirs stages of development are sometimes not respected. The objective of this final degree project is to learn about the “childminders” initiative, which is increasingly common throughout the country, answering the question: what are childminders and why do they present themselves as an alternative to institutionalized early childhood education? As well as knowing two experiences that take place in Valladolid. The case study (two specifically) has been the methodology chosen to carry out the research, and the results show that, despite being a more respectful option with the child and their needs, the lack of legislation and recognition prevent it from being a type of common education in our country.
