Estimación en áreas pequeñas de indicadores económicos de coyuntura: cálculo de la tasa de paro en las comarcas aragonesas

Abstract

El objetivo de este TFG es definir estimadores que permitan una aproximación directa a la realidad económico-laboral de pequeñas áreas como son las comarcas en las que se divide la Comunidad Autónoma de Aragón. El problema radica en que el diseño de las grandes encuestas nacionales como la Encuesta de Población Activa (EPA) no lo permite, ya que dichos territorios, no están lo suficientemente representados en la muestra. En concreto el objetivo está encaminado a obtener la estimación del número de activos y parados de esos territorios pudiendo así llegar finalmente a obtener una Tasa de Paro Comarcal. La información procederá del Instituto Aragonés de Estadística, que tiene acceso a las diversas y posibles fuentes de información.

The aim of this TFG is to define the parameters and estimators that allow a direct assessment of the economic-labour reality of small areas such as the comarcas [natural regions comprising several localities that share common physical as well as human characteristics] in which the Autonomous Community of Aragon is divided. The problem is that the design of large national surveys, such as the Labour Force Survey (hereinafter LFS), does not allow it because these territories are not sufficiently represented in the sample. Specifically, the survey aims at obtaining an estimate of the number of people in and out of work in those territories, thus being able to finally obtain an Unemployment Rate for each comarca. The information will come from the Aragonese Institute of Statistics, which has access to the various and potential sources of information.
