Este artículo pretende describir cuales fueron los acontecimientos principales que ayudaron a transformar Polonia, de una República Popular regida por el comunismo a una sociedad libre y democrática. Polonia lleva treinta años de libertades integrada en la Unión Europea y en la OTAN y sus generaciones jóvenes no se imaginan una vida diferente a la de los valores marcados por la democracia. Este trabajo pretende ver las diferencias de aquellos momentos y el proceso de reintegración de Polonia a la comunidad de la que siempre se sintió parte, y sin su inclusión hubiese sido imposible comprender la Unión Europea. En el momento actual, Polonia es un miembro activo e importante en el devenir europeo, cuyas opiniones generan nuevas realidades representativas de una sociedad que sabe cuál es el precio de la libertad.
This article aims to describe what were the main events that helped transform Poland, from a People's Republic ruled by communism to a free and democratic society. Poland has thirty years of freedom integrated into the European Union and NATO and its young generations do not imagine a life different from that of values marked by democracy. This work aims to see the differences of those moments and the process of reintegration of Poland to the community of which he always felt part, and without his inclusion it would have been impossible to understand the European Union. At the present time, Poland is an active and important member in the European future, whose opinions generate new representative realities of a society that knows what the price of freedom is.
