Propuesta de intervención educativa intercultural para una mejor inclusión de la etnia Huichol en la Universidad de Guadalajara (México)

Abstract

El presente trabajo expone una síntesis del contexto de marginación de la cultura indígena de México en concreto del Estado de Jalisco. Desde un enfoque educativo-social pretende atender la necesidad de enseñanza educativa de nivel superior a jóvenes indígenas con el fin de profesionalizarles para mejorar sus oportunidades de empleabilidad y con ello, puedan alcanzar una mejor calidad de vida que contribuya al desarrollo sustentable de sus comunidades nativas. Considerando la interrelación existente entre los principales pueblos indígenas (los huicholes, los nahuas y los cocas) originarios de este estado, se toma como representación al pueblo Huichol para profundizar en la educación propia, conocer su cosmovisión, costumbres, tradiciones, etc. con el fin de incluirlos en el proyecto y evitar una educación impositiva. Es una propuesta de inclusión social para la Universidad de Guadalajara (UDG), para que sea implementada por el Programa de Apoyo Académico a Estudiantes Indígenas (PAAEI) que contribuyan al fortalecimiento a la Unidad de Apoyo a Comunidades Indígenas de esta red universitaria. En colaboración del Gobierno y la entidad no lucrativa INDESO pretende lograr los objetivos del proyecto.

This paper presents a synthesis of the context of marginalization of indigenous culture of Mexico, specifically in the State of Jalisco. From an educational-social approach, it aims to address the need for higher education in young indigenous people in order to professionalize them to improve their of employment opportunities and thus achieve a better quality of life that contributes to sustainable development of their native communities. Considering the existent interrelationship between the main indigenous peoples (the Huichols, the Nahuas and the Cocas) originating in this state, the Huichol people are taken as representatives to deepen their own education, to know their worldview, customs, traditions, etc. in order to include them in the project and to avoid a tax-based education. It is a proposal of social inclusion for the University of Guadalajara (UDG), and is implemented by the Program of Academic Support to Indigenous Students (PAAEI) that contribute to the strengthening of the Unit of Support to Indigenous Communities of this university network.
